Consignor Agreement:

1) Crystal’s Closet accepts boutique fashions in current style, as well as fine vintage clothing and accessories.

2) Appointments to drop off a maximum of 20 consignment items per week are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment. (845) 471-4700


3) All clothing must be dry cleaned or freshly laundered and placed on hangers by the consignor. The hangers will be returned.

4) All consignors must be willing to abide by the decisions of Crystal’s Closet as to the acceptability and pricing of items. Crystal’s Closet will take the best possible care of the articles consigned, however, everything is left at the owner’s risk. Chrystal’s Closet is not responsible for loss by fire, theft, water, vandalism or negligent handling.

5) After an item is sold, the consigner can receive 40% of the selling price as store credit and an additional 10% off all store purchases. (can not be used for sale items)

6) Each consigner has an account number for tracking. There is a $5 annual consignor fee automatically deducted from your account. Consignments are kept up to 3 months. No items shall be picked up until the 3 month time frame has been reached. Crystal’s Closet reserves the right to run periodic sales (discounts) at any time.

7) Any article not sold or reclaimed during the 3 month period will become the property of Crystal’s Closet and will be disposed of as deem best. Either through discounted sale or donation to charity. Consignors must call 5 days prior to the expiration date to reclaim articles. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with you!


Sales Tracking

All consignors are given a client ID number. All of your items are electronically tagged and tracked by computer software. A report can be generated of all items sold or waiting to be sold. Items remain in the store for a 3 month period.

Because we are a small specialty shop, we only accept returns for defective merchandise.

Online Return Policies

At Crystal's Closet, we understand on line shopping can be a daunting task.  Well, we try to minimize the challenges of online shopping. You can return any item within one week of purchase. Because the item(s) was out of our hands for that one week, we are subject to what is called opportunity cost, or simply put, the ability to sell it someone else. We cannot fully appraise what this cost is so we will assess a restocking fee for every item returned. The amount of this restocking fee will be equal to 15% of the value of each item over $20.

The merchandise has to be returned in the same condition as it was received including all the tags still intact, no wear and tear or damage of any kind.
We want to live up to our core value of providing a legendary buying experience and we will do our best to work with you. If we have in some way not lived up to your expectations, please let us know. However, for a business to survive and be successful, it requires customers who respect and adhere to these policies.
